In late 2009, Ecotec tendered for the manufacture and construction of “pre-fabricated transportable housing” for Victoria for the Department of Human Services.  Ecotec Build Solutions were recently awarded a place on the panel to provide 100 houses by the end of 2010.  To date, 5 houses have been awarded for construction in Wangaratta, Colac, Wodonga and Broadmeadows.

The first house for Wangaratta was manufactured from 6No. 5m and 7m Ecotec concrete modules.  The modules were manufactured in 4 days and the house is expected to be completed within 8 weeks of the slab being poured.
